Remember our report on how Mercedes decided to ease their nomenclature? Well, adding to the list of the changed names is the new SLC or the SLK, as it was previously known as, which is being spied for the first time undergoing testing. The coupe, though semi camouflaged, seems like an early test prototype.
According to the new nomenclature, any car following in the same size category as the A-, B-, C-, E-, and S-class, will have the letter bearing the name of the class. So the new generation SLK will become the SLC, as it reflects the C-Class size. There will be minor cosmetic tweaks to the car, apart from refreshed interiors. According to the reports, the SLC could be the part of the newly launched AMG Sport Range and can very well be called the SLC 55 AMG.
The test mule is spied having camouflage only at the bumper and the exhaust pipes appear to be different, as they are split from the middle. This could be understood as the earlier test prototype doesn't carry much changes.
