Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione Launching in January 2015

At the 2014 Delhi Motor Show,Fiat India showcased its performance oriented Abarth 500. It was rumoure that the company would launch its performance brand- Abarth in December, but now the company has decided to bring in the Abarth 595 Competizione in January 2015.
The Abarth Punto and Avventura would come in the second half of 2015. The Abarth 595 Competizione is powered by a 1.4-litre MultiAir turbo-petrol engine that is capable of developing a maximum power output of 158bhp at 5500rpm and a peak torque of 201Nm at 2750rpm while running in 'Normal' mode.

However, the torque can be raised to 230Nm in 'Sports' mode. This engine is coupled to an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) gearbox with manual override system. The high-performance hatchback rides on special 17-inch alloy wheels, while the height of the car has been reduced by 105mm to improve its aerodynamics. There are Abarth decals, twin exhausts, sports seas, sunroof, flat bottom steering wheel etc on offer to give sporty touch to it.
The vehicle is equipped with high end safety features such as seven airbags, electronic slip differential, anti-Lock Braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, torque transfer control etc. Since Fiat will bring the Abarth 595 Competizione in the country as a CBU, it will be priced around Rs. 26-30 lakh (ex-showroom).
