A Completely Bonkers Side of the Suzuki Alto Unveiled

Suzuki has published the first official image of its latest concept, a hot-rodded kei car dubbed the Alto RS Turbo. The crazy small car is based on the stock eighth-gen Alto that was introduced recently.
The retro look pays homage to the first Alto RS turbo presented in 1987. This car gets the kind of things that you might have never thought of, including multi-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels, a deeper bumper with red accents and fog-lights, red mirror caps, blacked out head-lights and a new radiator grille with three horizontal slats.

The Alto RS Turbo is equipped with a turbocharged version of the 660cc 3-cylinder engine that powers the stock Alto.
However, the performance specifications are not available. The stock Alto is offered with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or continuously variable transmission (CVT), thus it is being speculated that the car will get a performance oriented CVT version. The Suzuki Alto RS Turbo will greet the public for the first time next month at the Tokyo Auto Salon, and the production version is expected to go on sale across Japan shortly after.
