The Car That Doesn't Get Dirty!

The Car That Doesn't Get Dirty!
Earlier this year, we reported that Nissan is working on an innovative paint technology that repels mud, dirt and rain. Last night, the automaker uploaded a video 'The Nissan Paint Prank' as part of a social media campaign, showcasing their self-cleaning nano-paint technology in a funny way.
The prank is played around the Nissan Leaf, standing beside the pathway, where a crew of painters "accidentally" drops a bucket of paint on the car, and bystanders get surprised to see what happens next. The video encourages online viewers to visit Nissan's Instagram channel, to participate in a series of related videos, and suggest things they would like to spill on the Leaf, then Nissan will select the winning liquids to be flung on the car and shot their videos.
It's a clever way to showcase the futuristic self-cleaning technology of Nissan. Nissan denies for using the muck-repellent 'Ultra-Ever Dry' paint on its production line-up, but saves it as a potential aftermarket option.
