Hyundai India is riding high on success these days, with all the new launches and the booking they are receiving from them. The latest reason for celebration for the Korean brand is the success, their premium hatchback, Elite i20 has received.
According to the company, they have received about 56,000 bookings, since its launch four months ago, on 11th August. While the petrol variant of Hyundai Elite i20 is commanding a waiting period of 2.5 months, the diesel is in more demand with a waiting period of 3.5 months on some of the models.
Hyundai launched a series of new cars from the premium hatchback Elite i20 to compact sedan Xcent and Grand i10 hatchback. In terms of sales too, Hyundai is just next to Maruti, with 2-3 cars being in top 10 cars every month in terms of sales. The Hyundai Elite i20 is priced between Rs 4.99 lakh to Rs 7.66 lakh (Ex showroom, Delhi) and is available in 10 variants, 5 each for petrol and diesel.
The petrol trim comes with a 1.2 litre engine capable of producing 84 ps and 114 Nm of torque, while the diesel models come with a 1.4 litre unit which churns out 90 ps of power and 220 Nm of torque.
