Honda Cars India has had a brilliant 2014, it has been among the very few players to have recorded a double digit growth in the market. The company launched two new products this year - the new-generation Honda City and Honda Mobilio- both of which received quite an overwhelming response. But production issues at Honda's facilities troubled the carmaker entire year, because of which all the top-selling Honda cars today have long waiting period.
To sort out its production issues, Honda is planning to set up a new manufacturing facility in Gujarat, for which it has, in fact, approached the state government. While the new launched in 2014 helped the Japanese carmaker strengthen its position in the market, Honda is now planning to enter some new segments in 2015 to keep the momentum going for it.
Of all the cars that the company is planning to launch, the new-generation Honda Jazz is the most anticipated one. Though in its first innings, the Jazz failed to create the buzz its maker expected; now with an all new design and diesel engine, the car looks lot more promising than before. Since the company has already started its production in India, we can expect it to be launched anytime in the first or second quarter of the next financial year.
