The second product from the Datsun stable is ready for launch and the company will launch the Go+ MPV on 15th January 2015. After the hatchback, Go, Datsun had announced its intentions to bring out an MPV which would be launched at an attractive price.
The Go+ will be the first MPV India which will be below tha sub-4 metre mark. Infact, at just 3995mm, the Go+ MPV, will be the first compact MPV in India. Though the car is expected to go against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the Go+ is expected to be much cheaper.
Since the Go+ will benefit from the sub-4 metre car taxation laws, we expect the car to start at a price point tipping 4 lakhs. Datsun has faced a lot of issues when it comes to safety and especially since the Global NCAP crash tests, there's been a question mark on the safety features in their cars.
Well, the Go+ too does not get any safety features like ABS and Airbags on any of the variants but the people at Datsun say that if need be, they have the capability of making these cars with these safety features.
