The much-awaited 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class finally entered in India today. Priced at Rs. 40.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new C-Class has been launched in only petrol model, the diesel model of the saloon will be rolled out in early 2015. Based on Mercedes' new lightweight modular rear-drive MRA (Mercedes Rear-Drive Architecture) platform, the new-gen C-Class features a long bonnet merging into the twin-slat grille with the company's three-point star logo, low stance and short front overhangs.
That said, the soft shoulder line emerging from LED head-lamps and flowing towards the door handles, daytime running light design, tail lamps, rear bumper, boot lid are quite similar to the previous model of the car.
The new BMW M5 derives its power from the M TwinPower Turbo eight-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power output of 560bhp and 680Nm of peak torque. This is the most powerful of all the BMW production engines that touches 100Km/h mark in just 4.3 seconds. Transmitting power to its wheels is a seven-speed M dual-clutch transmission. To make the drive easier, the company also offers shift paddles.
