Peugeot is a name that not many Indians are aware - it was present in the passenger car market many years ago but it had a short lived life at that time. However, over the years, the Indian market has matured and almost all the top global players are now in the market selling one car or the other. Peugeot too has been testing a couple of models for the Indian market for the past few months including this, the 508 luxury sedan. Peugeot was present at the Jan 2012 Auto Expo where this car was showcased and you never know - they might just launch it as wel.
One look at the Peugeot 508 and you will be sold. The French maker will be looking at pitting this gorgeous machine against the likes of the Honda Accord and the Skoda Superb and hence we can expect the pricing to be between Rs 16 to Rs 20 lakh. The 508 certainly justifies words like 'class', 'luxury' and 'style' - most prospective buyers will easily be influenced due to the way it looks alone. The muscular front and the coupe like rear, both blend in perfectly to give a very sporty stance to the 508. We do feel though the that rear has design cues taken from the Jaguar models as well - we arent complaining though for the 508 will easily be the best looking luxury sedan in its segment.
