Great Wall Haval H5 Expected to Launch on December 2014

Car-maker Great Wall Motor is now looking into India and plans to set-up a plant here. Before we get going here is a introduction regarding the car-maker. Great Wall Motor Company Limited (GWM) is China’s leading SUV and pickup manufacturer. Based on the Baoding and Tianjin production bases GWM has already reached the production capability of 800,000 vehicles. At present, Great Wall Motors’ vehicles have already been exported to more than 100 countries with more than 800 overseas sales networks placed all over 80 countries all over the world. Europe, Central and South America, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Russia, Australia, South Africa.
Now that Great Wall Motor is in talks to open a plant in India, let us look at its diverse product range. The most appealing and one of the best ways to enter the Indian market now is through a SUV. The Haval H5 is sold both in petrol and diesel engines and has been spotted testing in India. For entry into the Indian market this SUV is perfect. The H5 has a length of 4649 mm, width of 1810 mm and height 1745 mm. Both diesel and petrol are suitable for India though being a SUV, Great Wall will prefer the 107 bhp diesel engine.

Overall it does a good jobs especially when it has to stand out and compete with the likes of the Renault Duster, Mahindra XUV500, Force One and Safari Storme. Pricing is crucial and GWM knows that so expect the Haval H5 to start from Rs 10-12 lakhs for the 4x2 variant to Rs 15 lakhs for the 4x4 top variant.
