Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II 2014 expected launch in India by NOV 2014

Ultra-luxury carmaker, Rolls Royce is prepping to bring its newest product on to the Indian shores. Presented for the first time at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the Rolls Royce Ghost Series II brings to the table some subtle styling, design and feature updates. The model will also be made available in an extended wheelbase version.

For the model year 2014, the most notable styling changes seen on the Ghost Series II includes, the new LED headlamps with daytime running lights, the front air intake, which now has received a chrome garnish and a redesigned bumper. The bonnet gets a wake line, which connects the Spirit of Ecstasy to the windscreen giving the model a small dynamic touch.

The prospective buyer’s will get to see all the latest technology inside the new Ghost’s interior, including a 10.25-inch high-definition screen and a Spirit of Ecstasy Rotary Controller so as not to ‘leave unsightly fingerprints at driver and passenger eye level.’ Of course, plenty of customisation is available for the most discerning of buyers, and two new wood veneer options have been made available too - Paldao and Walnut Burr Crossband.

The notable feature update comes in the form of a new gearbox with satellite-aided technology that was first seen in the Rolls Royce Wraith. The technology uses GPS data to anticipate the driver’s demands, choosing the proper gear for the road ahead and the speed at which the car is being driven. Thus, assuring better fuel efficiency, reducing unnecessary gear changes and consequently, providing a smoother ride quality.
