2015 Chrysler 300 introduce

The 2015 Chrysler 300 follows the path blazed by the Dodge Charger and Challenger. Every 2015 300, 300C, and 300S has an eight-speed automatic, regardless of enginel; and both 300S and V8 buyers get a new Sport mode, which affects the transmission, engine, and steering. The eight-speed had a dramatic effect on the V6 engine when it was launched in 2012, but it is likely to knock just half a second off 0-60 acceleration for the Hemi.
That said, the wide-gear-range V8 will provide a better driving experience than the old five-speed, and despite identical EPA estimates, should have better real-life gas mileage, especially for those who cruise at 75 mph or above. The Curse-O-Matic shifter, which did not stay in place and had small spaces between the detents, has been replaced by a knob shifter, which is has wider gear spacing and a more “mechanical” feel (though both are fully electronic).
The V6 remains standard on every model; the Hemi is optional on anything but the base 300 Limited.
